BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - A man has died in an apartment fire in Bellingham.

Investigators say a floor heater apparently ignited some bedding late Sunday night at the Brampton Court Apartments. Firefighters contained the flames to one ground-floor unit unit, and a man was found dead inside.

Police Lt. Steve Felmley says the man is believed to be the 65-year-old resident of the unit, but dental records must be checked to confirm the man's identity because he was so badly burned.
