LAKEWOOD, Wash. -- The third suspect sought in the shooting death of a man early Tuesday morning surrendered to police.

Det. Mike Zaro said 19-year-old Nathan Dysert walked into the police station around 4 p.m. on Wednesday and turned himself in.

Dysert, along with two others, were suspected of first-degree murder in the death of a 20-year-old man who was fatally shot in his apartment.

The victim had let the three men into his apartment in the 6600 block of 150th Street SW. When it became clear the men were going to rob him, the victim fought back and one of the men shot him, police said.

The girlfriend and another relative of the man who was killed were in the apartment at the time of the shooting, and provided police with the street names used by the three men. It is not clear which of the three men shot the victim.

Using the help of a canine unit, police tracked down one of the men and arrested him.

Sgt. Mark Eakes said a second suspect fell into their lap while officers were conducting a follow-up in the area.

"They had a picture, a photo of the suspect and as they were in the area; they were looking at the photo. And they were looking out the window and the suspect was walking down the street in front of them. Obviously they pulled over and he was arrested without incident," he said.

Police searched a home in Spanaway on Tuesday night in hopes of finding the third suspect. The man, however, was not found.

Police have not identified the victim.
