Major Moves Being Made
By Shannon Drayer & KOMO Staff
The Mariners have made a big shake-up of their roster in an effort to boost a sagging offense.
The team has called up prized prospects Jeff Clement, a catcher, and Wladimir Balentien, an outfielder, from Triple-A Tacoma. They were expected to be in Cleveland for Wednesday evening's game, with Balentien starting in right field and batting seventh. To make room on the roster, the Mariners designated outfielder Brad Wilkerson and infielder Greg Norton for assignment. More details to come soon. |
